I have a set of brand new Euro-R cams sitting around and was wondering if it would even be worth it to put it in when all I have are the simple bolt-ons and a stock engine (no head work w/ stock internals)? Let me know what you guys think.

yes, it would be worth running those cams.
they should be the same as type s cams, you can run those w/ stock valvetrain and depending on tunning, you should pick up about 5hp or so up top.

so do you recommend any type of cam gears to go with these and how hard is it to install cams? Do you need any special tools?

would it help to get those aftermarket adjustable cam gears and if so, which one do you recommend? thnx for your help btw.
you can move the power around w/ cam gears, may be able to get a little more out of them. i like crower cam gears, they use 12 pt arp bolts, new design easy to read, and affordable. i would rather put my money towards an intake manifold or ex. manifold, would get more out of that.

i never gained anything adjusting gears w/ those cams, but like i said every motors different. i personaly would rather put money towards an intake manifold if i was on a budget, you would gain alot more from an intake mani.

yeah, but people seem to forget about things like that....they will have $4000 worth of cams and pistons and all on a "modified" stock manifold....that thing just doesnt cut it....
