Default Odd problem (Clutch Cable)

Today I go to start my car and the pedal goes to the floor felt like the clutch cable snapped. I pop the hood and it's disconnected. I reconnect it and tighten it and it's fine. Now I am not sure if it's stretched or partially snapped. I drove for an hour after fixing it and it seems fine. Has anyone had this happen to them before?

I don't see why it would be hurt. All it did was just fall off. It was probably loose to start with and just slipped off. You should be fine.

It was fine then I felt the clutch was getting a little funny. I know it's not the clutch assembly because thats all new and there is no grinds in the tranny. So it had to be the clutch cable. Since then it's been fine. I will just have to adjust it and tighten it more tomorrow. I will buy a spare just incase and keep it in the car.

a spare clutch cable is always a good idea, especialy if you have a upgraded clutch

they strech over time it could be it just got to the point where it fell out, or it could be like dude said the plastic nut is kinda stripped out, either way i think id see about replacing it in the next month or so, cuz if your at a stop light and the nut slips again thats gona lurch your foward if your like me and tend to rest at the light without your break on sometimes

I went to autozone and for $26 got a clutch cable with some metal on the adjustment part instead of plastic, and the cable itself was steel instead of that weird stuff they use. Well worth the upgrade.
