PW0 rev limit 8200
I think I got my pm5 to 6800 but I could be wrong because my tach sucks...

Don't mean to hijack the thread but since we're discussing revlimits and fuel cuts...

My friend has a '90 EF Si and it's 100% stock and that thing revs to about 74-7500 before it finally stops.

Now I have a 88 CRX Si...same motor and tranny i believe (d16a6) and mine stops RIGHT at redline (6500).

The weird thing is that when I first got the car and was driving home I kinda punched it in 3rd and it went to about 7k or so and i was like "well...don't want to blow this motor up...just got the car." and i shifted into 4th.

My car is all stock except for a full exhaust but for some reason when I was bringing the car home it just ripped past redline and now it cuts right at redline and i have no clue what's up or what's normal for that matter.

Any help would be appreciated!

OH...and everytime i test it out, it's when the car is warmed up.

Redline is 6800? Hmm, wonder why honda just made it 6500 on the gauge cluster.

Thing is it cuts RIGHT at 6500 (where it starts to go red)...can my tach be off 700 rpm? Is there a way to recalibrate it or anyway around this issue?

I have a feeling my car isn't really actually revving past 6500 revs...if i remeber 2nd gear only does 55 or so before it cuts and 3rd is JUST 80 if that...

strange =\

Yes the stock tachs are that innacturate and inconsistent..hook up an autometer tach or something like that and you'd be suprised..

^ very surprised. factory tachs are known to be off as much as 600 rpm i believe.

PR4 90 integra GS b18a1 is 7200 or 7400 i believe.
