Default quick auto to 5 spd question?

For the clutch cable the hole that should be in the firewall is that only found on the hatches or is it in a crx? We are doing this on a 90 crx dx. Either were blind i can not find this hole(gromet) anywhere. Is this something that has to have a hole drilled for?

not in my swap.. to the right of the brake booster there is a hole with a hole with a grommet. check around real good before drilling.

Sometimes there is a hole, sometimes there isnt. I think only later EFs have holes.

my 90 had a hole. as a car company it doesnt really make sense to make "two" different chassis for auto/manual. it sure should be there.
