I'm getting rid of my stupidly long ridiculous antenna/ The wiring for it is phucked and it doesnt go/up down anymore. Stupid me went and bought a new one thinking the old one was busted to find that the new one didnt work either so after much checking/testing etc etc i found that the wiring has got fried somewhere along the line...so i'm removing the whole thing and fitting an internal amplified antenna. Removing the antenna unit is no problem but i also want to remove the cable that runs to the stereo...so i need to know:
Where its routed? Is it along the left handside of the inside of the car or does it run down the centre to the trunk and then over to the antenna.
Is it tied in with other wiring?
Can i just yank it out?
If i can find it in the centre somewhere i'll cut it and then pull it out from either end as i wont be using it again anyway.

What are you going to fill the hole with?
I added a switch that controls the power to the anntena so it can be down when i'm not using the radio (which is 90% of the time)

Some JDM ITRs come without an antenna & radio, there is an OEM plug made to fill the hole.

funny the radio's were optional in type-r's in japan but standard on type-rx models.

sad but true alot of people dont speak of that website because they dont want people to know where they get their parts from. its a great site dedicated to true jspec/jdm/oem honda parts...simply amazing what they bring in this country.

It runs the exact same way in JDM cars.
