hey guys

on my 96 civic ex, i have noticed that my hood proping thing (used to hold up the hood, im at a lack for a better term) is denting my hood?

my hood is no longer level with the fender, it actually looks like a big protrusion from the hood prop.

has anybody else experienced anything similar? or is it just me?

 

sounds to me like someone has tried to shut the hood b4 the prop was out of the way. We have a loaner car at my job and that has happened numerous times with that car and it actuallt creased the hood bc of ppl forgetting to put the prop rod down.
