ef clock

Default ef clock

i have a 91 ef si and i just wanted to know if its normal that the clock on the dash always stays on, even if the car is off ... is this normal , and if not how can i get it to turn off when its not in use... holla front!

Under the clock readout is a little smoke colored plastic flap. On a normal functioning clock, the clock is off unless you push in on that flap (or the headlights are turned on). My guess is - the little button under the flap is stuck down. Pull down on that flap and see if you can pop up the button. Keep in mind there are 3 buttons under there: one to change the hour, one to change the minute, and the one to light up the clock.

i did what you told me to do and you were right, it was the button that was stuck. thanks for the advice. you're freakin smart man!
