getto intake?

getto intake?
Today i decided to diconect the tube from the factory airbox the side closes to the airbox and left it hanging. you could feel that the car has more power and it sounds nicer. is there anything wrong with doing this, is this better than having a cheap pepboys cone style filte attached to the tube(power wise) or worst. any coments will be apreciated

Are you talking about the resonator? Removing that will make the intake a little louder and maybe give you an extra 1 horsepower. As long as you're not letting in air upwind of the filter you're fine.
