Well, i fell victim to an emblem thief and all it left was a big scratch left from probably a screw driver.They jacked my Acura badge and emblem leaving the holes there. The scratch looks major but, I was thinking of putting a honda emblem on there. Now heres how the stock setup looks like... on the upper left of my car in the back is a badge that says "Acura", in the center it has the Acura emblem and at the bottom right corner is the Type R logo. Now the stock emblem is not big enough to completely cover the scratch, but the red Honda emblem is wide enough. If I put the Honda emblem on there, i was thinking of changing the badge that says "Honda" instead of "Acura". If im going to change that, Im gonna have to change the front emblem too and I dunno if a red Honda emblem would look good on my front bumper. I was thinking of some opinions, should I just change the front and back emblems to red Honda ones ( "H" ) and change the badge to "Honda", having a honda emblem would look kinda unique in the front on an ITR or should I just touch up the paint and stick with the stock ones. Isn't this how the JDM ITR's look like? I know mine don't look anything like a Japanese Type R without the front end conversion but it can atleast look close to it. The thing is, that I don't wanna spend some money just to weld up the holes that the emblems leave or have a stock look again with less than money. I was thinking of spending my money on something that would make my car look better atleast. Please post your opinions and replies.

 

where do you park your car?? if you leave it out in the open or are away from it for extended periods of time i'd hold off on buying replacements until you can better secure the car. I mean there is no point in putting on new emblems if they are just going to get jacked again. Don't forget that if you want to go for the tiizzite jdm look w/ the honda you'd probably wana replace the acrua logos on your wheels and those jdm ones cost a grip -rob

I had my emblems stolen a few weeks ago...$1300 to fix it. I opted to buy two silver "H" emblems (just like the ones you would find on one of the millions of Civics out there) and a silver "HONDA" badge. You could go for red H's, but they are going to go just as quick as your A's did. If you are going to bother putting something on the car to cover the holes, make sure that it isn't too flashy.

i feel your pain. some stupid punks jacked my emblems too, in front of my house. the only day i ever leave the car out front and not in the garage, it happens. little punkass bastards.
anyways, went to the acura dealer and they wanted $67 each for the red A's and $37 a piece for the silver generic ones!!!
i'm still trying to decide to do.
mebbe i'll jus go steal my A's back.

Don't be doing the same stuff that those lil punk bastards are doing... the chain is just gonna get bigger... the moment you jack from another ITR.. those guys will starting jacking A's from other R's and the chain will just keeping going... and who knows... it might turn around to you again... jus watch ur rides and keep them in garages.

 

I'm pretty sure he was kidding about stealing his emblems back...atleast I hope he was.

i've had mine jacked in 3 different cities. First front one at schoo, rear one in a local street in LA, and another front FAKE one in a local street in Long Beach...tell me I get a prize for having the most emblems stolen.

Wow! $1300 damage from stealing the emblems? My estimate for a new front bumper cover/paint, repaint my chin spoiler, left headlight assy, and front badge came to $1267. Dang

 

Well all i can say is just be glad that's all they took.

lost type r, where in riverside did you park? my car got keyed in riverside and still havent had the time to fix it (and $).

 

When I got my front bumper repainted, I had the holes filled. I replaced my rear red A with a nice ordinary chrome

Then I ordered the UK chrome HONDA logo for the hatch. It covers the holes behind the ACURA emblem nicely... I have part numbers if you need 'em and a contact email address for the dealer in UK that send me the HONDA emblem.

 

Have the holes filled and leave the badges off....

Just buy two of em when you sell the car. No more stolen emblems

 

go to http://www.manhonda.com and get the "black gold" emblems, imo they look great (gunmetal color) are oem and discreet.

 

AAAARRRRHGGGGGG!!!!!!! my emblems got jacked too! I just stuck some regular-*** silver "H"s on it again........... don't think those are goin' anywhere....dammit i loved my white/silver emblems PISSSSESSSSS ME OFFFFF

 

Why not do this......or, this is what I'll do when someone rips mine off.

Take the best digital image you have of the badges, and there are plenty to be found, or get the digicam out, and have a print shop spit em out in vinyl. Looks like a cool way to have the same look, but when they come to get them the next time around.....WTF, it ain't no baidge, it's uh dayum sthicker!

Cheaper, and it take you out of that stolen badge loop.

An think of the perf gains w/the reduced frontal drag and the weight savings!

btw anyone know what size nylon plugs i can use for the two holes on the trunk? i try searching it on here but no luck yet.
