Someone on here might want to try to get it for cheap to restore another one, or even turn it into a race car.
If it belongs to someone on here, sorry for your loss. At least getting it raped by mother nature is better than getting it stolen and raped by thieves...

Until I read the cause I was figuring that it was a Katrina car. Wish I had extra cash lying around

You guys want to buy a car that was flooded in Katrina, where sewer was running through the flood waters.

Who knows what kind of diseases are waiting to attack in that thing.

Id stay away from it.

Cas which have been in contaminated **** strewn flood waters are less than ideal.

you all know that it is illegal to buy and sell Hurricane Katrina vehicles? that thing might be good for a race car, if that.

It's a new law they made right after because people were trying to make money off that big loss.

The government was just keeping track of the VIN #'s of all cars that were damaged by Katrina, so as to prevent fraud. A lot of the car owners whose cars were damaged did not have insurance that covered such events. This means that the car was never totalled by insurance and still has a clean title. The VIN numbers of damaged cars now have "Katrina damage" attached to them, so that future buyers will know the car's history.

 

wow. I would love to buy this. Rebuilding 98/97 ITRs are my specialty. But i don't want to pay 50$ just to look at it.

 

I will drive down with my trailer from TX to pick it up if some one wants to sell it to me... I am not one to joke around..

 

i have access to copart cars and am wiling to buy it for someone who is willing to pick it up for a small fee. the only thing that would have to be arranged is the whole finanacial part of it...
