Hi I have a 98 Honda Civic ex it has the D16y8 engine. I just bought an obd1 H22 complete swap. Iv been doing some research and couldnt really find anything on how to wire it up. I heard I could use my D16 harness and wire it up to work on the H22 can anyone please give me some information oh what to do. Thanks a lot, Matt

 

You need to get your hands on some wiring diagrams.

You need to:
- Wire in the injector resistor box
- extend the wires for the alternator
- Change alternator plugs to obd1 plug
- change injector plugs to obd1 plugs
- rewire the distributor (obd2 has crank sensor down by the crank, obd1 has it in the distributor) and change to obd1 plugs.
- extend misc wires to reach plugs
- add neccesary wires for IABs and maybe knock sensor(not sure if your y8 uses a KS)

and theres probably a bit more too, but its been a couple years since I've done the h22 EK swap, so I cant remember.
Maybe someone else can chime in.
- get obd2 to obd1 jumper harness
