Default question: '90 prelud w/b20a5 wants to race...

this is what he had to say...

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">b20a5 lower block,jdmfull race head,jdmrace tranns,jdm lowering springs,cold air intake,exhaust,heavy axles,ecu(two kinds drag and cuircit) and alot of tender love and care.</TD></TR></TABLE>

what are you guys' opinions about this? he seems to think it's "hella fast". from what i was reading on a few different forums, all anyone had to say was that it's a crappy engine.

just curious what you all think

Those mods sound like BS. ...but sadly this isn't the benchracing forum, so go race him and find out.

i'm not worried about racing him. if i was, i'd have asked "how badly do you think i'll kick his ***?"

i was just curious about the motor. i've never heard of it, neither has my friend, who owns a performance shop. i was just curious about it, and how it performs/takes to modifications.

we're looking to branch out with other cars, and it was just a question that popped up, and i figured i'd ask.

Ok, well it honestly sounds like he's just throwing around buzz-words like 'JDM', 'fullrace', etc...WTF are heavy axles?! Ask him to give some details or something that makes sense, lol.

Can't tell much from those crappy pics, but the only people I know of that have gone fast in a 3rd gen have either been boosted or swapped in an H-series engine.

yea, i've seen plenty of motors in better shape than that. but eh, i'm sure he loves his car he seems to think very highly of it. HAHA

with the way the weather has been lately, if he's making any power, he'll have traction issues (icy, and f'n COLD). i &lt;3 my AWD. haha we'll see. i doubt he'll actually race.

but can anyone tell me what exactly is on that engine? it's a crappy picture, but those pistons do look kinda shiny and new

VR-4 &gt; B20a5.

The non-turbo 3000GTs are pretty slow but I think you would beat him.

that's what i figured. it's hard to make a LOT of power staying N/A, in any car for that matter.

i know my GVR4 would be slower then poop if it wasn't turbo. lol
