ok i'm re-doing my car. i have an 02 accord 4 cyl. I want to ask anyone what's the best type of headers for my car to give the right amount of back pressure, should i take my cat out and go str8 from headers to exhaust, and which type of exhaust would be better...greddy evo2 or hks ti muffler?

I'll let someone else answer about the header.

You should keep a cat unless you plan on going with forced induction. The cat provides the necessary back pressure your car needs to create torque. Without the cat, you will see minimal gains in hp, moderate loss of tq, and you will need to solve the problem of what to do with your secondary 02 sensor (otherwise say bye bye to fuel economy).

I haven't owned either exhaust but have heard good feedback on the evo2

4/2/1 header should be what you are looking for.... I think that 4/1 flows too much, and will kill your back pressure without the cat!
Now, you should ALWAYS have a cat... so... that means you don't need a gay test pipe or whatever "they" call those pieces of pipe that fit the cat instead.
Get a magnaflow High flow catalictic converter for less than 65 dollars. It will give you horsepower, maintain low emissions, keep your gas mileage at normal levels and won't mess up with the CEL!!!

Same thing except leave the Catalytic converter alone.

A decent header can be found from Greddy or DC Sports at a reasonable price
As for the cat, you will need to make sure that the one you purchase has a bung for the secondary o2 sensor. Most quality cats have this bung but make sure the one you're looking at has it before you make your purchase. I'm almost postive that the Magnaflow unit has the bung and is OBDII ready.

ok now as for my motor, one guy kept his f23 block and put a h22a head and it's running harder than an h22a would. now another friend of mine told me to go with a b20 motor instead so i wouldn't have to deal with the hassle of finding an vtec h22 head to go with my vtec f23 block. this is for the future if i feel like doing it but i wanted some advice on which way to go.

backpressure is not good. Whoever told you guys about backpressure doesn`t know what they are talking about. Exhaust gas Velocity is what helps low end power, and the way to increase the velocity is by making the tube the exhaust flows through have a smaller diameter (but the decreases overall flow, hurting the top end). So basically the best way to make usable power for you is to remove all of the obstructions in your exhaust, like cats and oem mufflers/resonators. Removing your cat will net at least 5 horsepower, about the same as the exhaust and header(s) combined.

ok now what size muffler? there's the HKS ti with a 130mm shell and 170mm shell. i also found the Apexi N1 turbo exhaust. I will be getting the motor ready for turbo so I don't want to get an exhaust now and then have to throw it out because i have to change it for something else. the headers are just for a little power for now until i get the custom turbo kit i'm building. i'm getting it for $150, DC Sport 4-2-1 headers. i know i will get rid of those for the turbo manifold when i do the conversion but now it's for the exhaust. if i remove the cat won't the sound increase? i don't want to sound like a drag car at start up.

velocity=low end torque more flow volume= high end torque (more hp in higher revs). If you are going turbo just get a 3 inch straight through exhaust

Then wait on the cat and just get a test pipe when you boost

since i like breathing clean air, leave the cat alone. becareful when choosing an exhaust because you might give up mid range torque in favor oh high end HP. you need torque, trust me.
