hf motor + si transmission a few questions...
my hf transmissions bearings are going bad, i have a si transmission sitting in my mud room, i know the transmission will fit on the hf engine.
can i use my HF axles or will i need si ones? if i need si ones i imagine i need to swap the hubs also?
will the clutch on the HF fit onto the si transmission? how hard is it to swap clutches?

everything will fit BUT are either of the transmissions 88? 88 have different input shafts. your axles will fit , the inner joints are the same. i dont see why you would need to swap clutches id just leave the clutch there and bolt the new transmission right on unless you want to change it...
it's a 90 or 91 transmission, i forget. excuse my ignorance regarding clutch.
if the clutch does look bad, is it hard to change? doesnt look too bad in the manuals i've got but i'm still ignorant.
thanks for the answers

If you get a clutchkit, a nice/decent one should come with new throwout/release bearing (easy, 2 spring clips) and an alignment tools. The bolts are 19ft/lbs and its simple to do a clutch.
Keep in mind that you might want to resurface the flywheel though. A clean flywheel will mate to the clutch faster/cleaner and provide a longer happier clutch life.
Once tranny is off... clutch = piece of cake.
