I am just looking for someone who has a jdm limiter in their car. and has something to delimit it.
The apexi rev/speed meter, hks speed limiter defencer, fields sfc all have speed limiter cuts.
now my question is how does it cut it?
If it just kills the signal to the ecu you would get a mil and the engine would fall out of vtec.
If it has a repeater some how like it makes a fake signal then your speedo would just stay at whatever speed the controller fakes it at. (now this isnt a problem for the apexi and the fields because they have speed readouts. But the hks does not.) Does the signal only go to the ecu and a split signal go the the gauges.
and I don't want any bashing about removing the speed limiter. I am just asking a question on how it works.

it can be a rpm limiter or a fuel cut, but usually a rev limiter that is active when the vss shows a certain speed. I run a chipped ecu, and you can disable the speed limit when burning a new chip.

I think I figured it out. The vss sends a signal to both the ecu and the gages seperatly. so the gages stay uneffected when you install this between the vss and the ecu. it must just fake a signal of like 100 mph when its over that.
can anyone tell me exactly how the vss signal is. high voltage=high speed or something like higher freq=high speed. thank you
