TORQUE TIGHTENING BOLTS
I have a '92 Accord EX and it leaks ALOT of oil. I want to replace the valve cover gasket and oil pan gasket but do not know the torque on either. Anyone know the proper amount of torque to tighten these SCREWS/BOLTS ....????
Thanks in advance
and how easy/difficult would it be to change the head gasket????

Valve cover acorn nuts are only 7ftlbs. Try to tighten them too much and they will snap right off on you. I don't know about torque on the pan bolts but it is probably not much either. The important thing with the pan is the sequence. If you don't have a torque wrench, use a small wrench or ratchet (1/4"drive) so you will have more feel for how tight they are. using a 1/2" drive ratchet to tighten pan bolts would not be good. If you don't know the sequence start tightening them all at the same time (not too much on one side). Start in the middle, one turn at a time working your way to the ends. You don't want one side of the pan to be tight, and the other side to be lose. Keep switching sides, a little at a time. Kind of long winded, I hope it helps. Good luck.
Where is it leaking oil from?
As for the headgasket, definately buy a manual. You need to remove and replace the cylinder head bolts in the correct sequence. It is not real hard to change the headgasket, but you will need to remove alot of things, and have someone help you lift off the cylinder head/intake manifold, as well as set it back on.
