My cousin just picked up a stock (cept for rims and sound if you wanna count that as a mod) 99 si coupe and was wondering what bolt ons to start with. The obvious ones would be the intake and exhaust, but what are some good setups for this car for better hp numbers? thanks for the help guys.

 

ill be nice, search helps out alot.. seriously whatever your thinkin about, its been covered .. whats your goals? I/H/E wont hurt, but a waste of money if you wanna go boost... suspension wouldnt be a bad place to start .. if you dont know what your doing then there are writeups that are very informative .. just realize spending money on cheap parts isnt always good .. im not saying go out and buy the most expensive part you find, but do your research .. you'll learn alot ..
but the very first mod should be a very good security/alarm system if he doesnt he'll learn the hard way

If i were you i would work on the suspension first and once he has an idea of where he wants go with the car drag, autocross, etc. then you can choose something that will fit the sport. happy tuning.
