Default Compression

My compression is 150 across on my h22a4. The motor has 120K on it. I asked you guys if that compression was ok and you guys said yea. But why is everyone else running 200+? Andthe causes could only be replacing either: Valve seals, Piston rings, Bent valves or Bad headgasket....correct ??

what is the compression of your pistons. us compression is like 10:1 if i am not mistaking. and every one says your okay because your number are consistant. at lil low but consistant. you could have an block issue or somthing if your pistons are us stock specs. when i got mine tested awhile back i had 205 all across except for cylinder 3 which was at 185. big drop but not a enormous problem.

Im not sure what the compression ratio is. It has never been touched as far as i know. Is that something that gradually goes out of spec and needs adjustment ?

As your engine wears you will get compession leakage. There is no way of "adjusting" it. You are just going to need a rebuild in the future.
