what is the optimum width for a street tire on a 15x8in wheel ?? i would run the azenis 215's (205/50/15) but they're no where to be found. which tire brand makes 215/50/50's that are decently priced for the streets ?
15x8 is really, really wide. Most tire sizes they would take are WAY too big for Honda and Acura automobiles. In most cases, 15x6 or even 15x7 is a much better width for a 15" wheel.
What kind of car are these going on?
(Oh, and 215/50-15 is an oddball size with very few tires available...)

its for a dc2 integra. i know its not recommended but i'll be one of the few to rock these wheels !
also its not my daily driver. i 've had mounted 15x7's with a +25offset before with no rubbing. so what about 225/50/15's ? who makes them ? thanks for the quik response...

You can mount most 225/50-15 tires on a 15x8 wheel, but they will rub on your fender wells, they will make your speedometer and odometer read low by 1.8 percent, and they will make your car accelerate slower. There are a lot of R compound track tires on the market in that size, and also a few street tires, notably the Bridgestone S-03 top-of-the-line tire ($151) and the Yokohama ES100 budget performance tire ($84).
