Neither of those will net 150 wheel horsepower.

Your best bet it either a GSR swap (B18C1) or ITR swap (B18C5).

Between the two the LS would probably be the better route to go.

Cams, bolt ons, and tuning should have you there

Regardless, with the mods you listed on each motor, neither will net you 150whp. Maybe you should read your own posts, as well as the replies you recieve more thoroughly before spouting off dumb comments.

Yes, cams, bolt-ons and tuning would get you there on an LS motor.

More than likely not. My suggestion to you is, if you're set on the LS swap, get a B18A swap from a OBD-0 Integra and swap it in.

That would cause the least headaches.

An ITR or B16B will net you 150+ right out of the box. No tuning, no cams, no bolt on blah blah blah. Plus they will be 100% reliable. If your goals are nothign beyond 150, then I'd STRONGLY reccomend a stock R swap of some type.

nope no tuning. Part of me thinks i got lucky and imported an n1 engine though. All the internal components are stock as far as i can tell, but it put down over 105 ft/lbs from 5,500 up to 7,700 peaked at 109.6 ft/lbs @ 5766 rpm. If you ask me thats a bit low for a b16 to be making all of its torque

a b16 head is almost a bolt on for the ls motor. could get you pretty close to 150 hp if not there.

$3500 for a B16B swap plus 200 for mounts and then maybe another 200 in BS for the swap. Under 4 grand and you've got easily 155 WHP and an AWESOME transmission combined with factory reliability and the ability to rev to the sky. Its a no brainer there buddy.....but feel free to build sometthing else if you'd like.

Why not a B18C1? I've seen stock GSR's dyno just under 150. Thats with stock box, ps, ac, blah, blah. If it's a hatch you throwing it in, most likely you won't have those accessories. With bolt ons, you can get 155-160 easily.

To answer your question, the LS will be the cheaper route. Getting a D16 to around 150 is pretty hard. Probably have to go down on your internals. It'll be hard to hit with 150 with just bolt ons with LS also.

B18A/Bs seem to be pretty potent motors when in the right hands.

To put down 150whp expect to pay around 3,500 - 5k, whether it's from a built d16 or a b18 it will be somewhere around there.

Why not just swap a z6 in and boost it?

or better yet just boost your a6.

Becasue the GSR doesn't have a main girdle, it doesn't have the better thermostat, the better water pump, the awesome cams.....oh yeah, not to mention how absolutely off the chain the R transmission is. Trust me, B16B > GSR swap. Might make roughly the same POWEr, but there's alot or to a motor than the numbers it spits out on the dyno.
