Default Type R Cams?

I'm looking into getting a set of these cams off a local guy. They are used.
What exactly should i look for as to wear to make sure they are still in good shape? And also will there be a stamp on them to confirm they are Type R?

Interesting. So that would differentiate the cams. The pictures show a little bit different ends on the cams. So now what should i look for to make sure they are still in good shape?

Everyone gets fucked and ends up with B17a cams. It's happened to 3 people I know.

is there a difference between all the CTR and ITR cams from different years?

Or all they all the same? If there is a diff, which is best?

CTRs and 00-01 ITRs are the same but 97-99 had like a less duration or less lift I forgot which. I have the link of the specs at home, I'll post it later

well, obviously if there are any huge scars or nicks on the cam lobe its not gonna be in good condition.

the lobes should look like teardrops. If the lobe has flats spots on it near the point, even subtle flats, thats a sign of wear.
