revhard manifold... should i slice the head flange?

Default revhard manifold... should i slice the head flange?

whats up...

so i nothiced that alot on revhard manifolds tend to crack at the "collector" between runner 2 and 3.

will it help if i will cut the head flange to avoid some expention??

i guess it would help a little if u cut the flange, but if the flange is losing shape, wouldnt this mean that theres more stress put onto the manifold runners? this would cause it to crack on the runner?

full race cuts their flanges as well to keep cracking down.

Is the flange MILD steel? if so, you will do just fine leaving it.

If its Stainless steel, then It wont hurt to slice those like pictured above. Since SS do have high expansion rate.

I had the same manifold on my prelude... It's actually a short tubular manifold not cast that cracked in 3 places after 3 months of use.
