@@@Jdm ITR Redline???? Help!@@@@
What is the redline to a stock jdm itr motor??? ok so here it is. i have a 98' jdm itr swap with only exuast, stock headers, intake, and stock ecu. ive tried to redline it but when it gets close to around 7900k my motor sounds like its kind of over revving already especially in 1st. but sumtimes it'll hit 8200k just fine in 2nd, 3rd, etc...the sound that it makes when that happens i can't really describe...my only best descripition is that of a over revving soud or its getting close to that point at times really doesn't sound like it should be doing that. what do you guys think the problem is? should i get this checked out soon at a shop???? help is need! thanks in advance!
if its the JDM then it should redline at 8900 but i change my ecu so it rev to 10000rpm trust me reving this high u don't get power out of the engine
The redline is the same as the USDM ITR, unless I am mistaken...
8400 RPM, I think.
I know for sure the rev-limit is at 8600 RPM. I used to run a JDM ITR ecu in mt B16-swapped coupe.

Correct out of a stock b18 but throw some aggressive cams and shift the powerband upward.

(a Snap On one though.) none of the kragen ones. or even a VAFC will tell you. since everything is digital, and not analog like your shitty factory tachometer is.
Both USDM and JDM ITR's have the same fuel cut.
The problem lies with the factory tachometer. Indicated on the tach is approx 8900rpm's, but as you now know, the factory tach is nothing near accurate.

...Funny, I had a V-AFC2 on my B16 and it verified 8600 RPM as the fuel cut.

...That also states your speed was 145mph.
All I know is, when I ran my JDM P73, it wouldn't let me rev past 8600 RPM, which LOOKED LIKE 9000 RPM on my CTR cluster's tach.

...Told you guys.
8600 RPM is fuel cut. 8400 RPM is 'redline.'
