Default How to replace clutch on an LS in an EF?

Can I just pull the trans off or do I have to pull the motor? If I have to pull the motor is it better from the top or the bottom?

Pull the suspention, axles, shift linkage/cable, fluid, and probably the passenger radius arm. Drop the trans, then do the clutch.

i found it much easier to pull the whole motor out and change it because of the limited room and not having a lift to get the car high enough and i pulled every hose, all fluid and axles pulled out and i had to swap the tranny not clutch then put it back in and had it running in 2 and half hours
