Pro 2's or Pro 3's with 13:1 CR
I will soon begin my build of a 2.0L GSR build and I'm planning on using Endyn's rollerwave pistons at a bore of 85mm, this should give me a static CR of approximately 13:1. I'm currently thinking of going with the Pro 3's but if I'm missing some important information, please let me know. Also, where can I buy pro 2's and pro 3's? (pro 2's can be found at hybrid-performance.com but where can I get pro 3's?)
Thanks
Brandon

Either or. They will both work well with that compression. It is much harder to get your hands on the Pro3's, as the piston to valve clearance is such a mess that unless you have good connections, it doesn't look like Skunk2 is going to be releasing these "to the public".
i looked into all the rocket moto cams and the skunk2 pro series 2+3 with my build i ended up buying some Toda Spec C's
edit: setup is 2.0L gsr, 1"deckplate, 89mm stroke, custom rods, 13.5:1cr, Custom RMF header, Toda spec c cams, toda cam gears, full REV valvetrain, ported head, ported skunk2 mani and TB, jdm gsr tranny
cant wait to put it in my car this summer!!!

Well, I know you can buy the pro 3's directly from skunk2, so that's not that much of a problem, and I thought that the pro 2's were already fairly radical and I've seen people use 12-12.5:1 CR on pro 2's, I just don't know what VtecKIDD and Tbone used for a CR on their pro 3 motors. I'm leaning towards the pro 3's as they've made about 250whp which is my goal, but I'll look into jun 3's and toda c's. I believe the pro 2's even have more lift than the spec c's so I figured that would be good. More lift + medium duration = t3h win for n/a since too long of a duration equals less dynamic cr. But these are all just guesses.
Btw, does anyone know an email address that I can reach skunk2 at? The one on their site doesn't work.

VetecKIDD, has 11.9-1 compression. Valve to valve clearance is not a "mess" it is necessary to check though. It actually is better than the BC5 the way the lobes are ground.

Exactly. By "public" I meant your average Joe can't walk into X performance shop and purchase the Pro3's because Skunk2 realizes the importance of properly degreeing the cams during installation. EDIT: its a liability thing, Skunk2 does not want to reputation of having cams that kill motors, so they want to make sure the persons doing the installation are familiar with the proper way of installing camshafts.

I don't know anything about V2V clearance, the duration doesn't seem radical enough to where you would have V2V before P2V. And I used the term "mess" loosely
There isn't a lot of room for guesswork like smaller cams, so measureing clearances is necessary, as you said, "messy" for someone who is lazy and doesn't have any knowledge of how to clay or measure clearances.

Can you please explain this, I am going to be running BC5's as a test cam for a little while soon. Is there anything I need to know other than that the duration is huge?

909-808-9888, ask for Joseph. if he cant help you, he'll get someone to help you. tell him Mike from atlanta aka vteckidd sent you.
if you need PRO3s, PM me, i can get them, but there are certain "circumstances" you have to be familiar with before you can buy
