Default Fabbing Oil Catch Can ... (56k warning)

well i was looking online and noticed that the cost of a oil catch can is a little more then i though and not sayin that i am cheap but i figure i try and fab something up.. here are a few pics of what i have gotten so far. im still missing the inlet and outlet and the drain but the size and the idea of what its looking like is there..

put some baffles in it to slow the oil from being moved around or from being sucked in to the vacuum source

thanks for the info, i forgot all about that gonna have to put one or 2 ang baffles to keep oil from moving around and and getting sucked in... thanks

I don't think you could've made it any more stout! jesus. try 16 gauge aluminum next time...its not holding pressure or anything lol.

im sure ebay has them and yess i have seen a crap load of them but the whole point of the posting section is welding and fabrication.. so i guess noo ebay

I just sanded a N.O.S. Octane Booster bottle clean, drilled a hole, inserted an NPT-to-barb fitting into the hole, and then attached an ITG breather filter to the bottleneck. (A second line back to the intake or other Vac source could easily be attached to the bottleneck instead.)

Quick, easy, and CHEAP (except for the breather filter).
