Default brake fluid

i have a 1990 Accord ex

i know that i need DOT 3 but when i went to buy some fluid one was just regular and the other one was synthetic. Which one does Honda recommend and does it matter if they mix. im not going to bleed the brake but to fill the brake fluid container.

THanks

If the fluid in the container looks dirty, I would suck what's left in there out, put new fluid in and flush the system (bleed all four wheels until only clean fluid comes out). Also, if you will need to change the pads soon, you may not want to fill it all the way to the top (leave a little room for when you push the caliper pistons in to make room for the new pads). Just some things to think about. Happy Hondaing
