As many APC products as he can find.

Look in the FAQ. We dont know whether he wants to boost or go NA.

Best hp/$ is always going to be FI, nitrious especially. But $2,000 is barely enough to go FI, let alone boost it AND build it reliably.

$2,000 could get you a good custom exhaust manifold. SMSP and RMF should both make +10whp over stock and will cost you ~$1,000. With the remaining $1,000 I don't know, there's lots of options. Bolt-ons are where you should start though.

The stickies and FAQ's should answer your questions and then some.

If you don't mind a few missing flanges and a few nuts and bolts you can pick up from home depot, I sourced a complete turbo kit (intercooler, emanage, everything) from Greddy that a man is selling for 1400. Let me know if your friend is interested.

With only $2000, He could address all the exterior eye candy stuff and easy bolt ons but if he wants to build up (NA or FI) he's gonna want a little more in the bank to do it right. My $.02

nitrous isn't FI. FI means Forced Induction...as in compressed air from a turbocharger or supercharger.

you want to go fast for under $2k? I/H/E/Cams/NX...done

^^^exactly........

I suggest skipping power and get some springs shocks or coilovers and a nice exhaust and you'll love to drive the car even more.

Other than Nitrous or maxing your budget with FI......all these bolt on will only yield very little power but if your ok with taking baby steps then go for the usual route of I/H/E.

Nitrous is too a form of forced induction, more oxygen is forced into the cylinder when the nitrous breaks down into O2 and N2.

There's nitrous threads in the FI froum all the time.

and IMO you're not going to get a decent turbo/SC setup for $2000. well, not new anyways.

I refute. Forced induction implies pressurization. Nitrous breaks down into O2 and N2, true--but that's not the same as adding more air. It's breaking down empirically as it burns. It's more of a reagent than a catalyst.

2,000 to 3,000 dollars can go a long way...

naturally-aspirated:
RMF or SMSP headers with JUN camshafts and Hondata or Neptune and tuning

forced induction:
GReddy turbo kit

one 2 cents is tell your friend to get rid of the dc sport.
also if he is going for the forced induction way get crower stage 2 turbo cams.
get some AEM pullies.
get a custom 2 and 1/4 or 2 and 1/2 inch cat back.
that is the same route that im going with mine and i already have the pullies. and the cat back is on the way from a guy i know.
and i strongly suggest going with hondata.

and that right there is a lot more than 2 grand
