I'm using D16y6 (y8 as you guys say)
can I replace my 3rd gear with S1's 3rd gear?
because my 3rd sucks and the RPM drops to 4k which means there is no vtec working and it begins from 120-180 km/h..

or there is any chance that I can make the 3rd gear ratio shorter ??

 

i say get a bigger FD like the SRR 4.7 or even shorter the 4.9. Those *should* keep you engaged in VTEC(or damn near close) every shift. 8)

Ok if i got the 4.7 ssr fd what would it do ?

Did anybody do this to his S2 tranny ?!
