bought a b16a for 500 have some questions???

Default bought a b16a for 500 have some questions???

hey whats up i bought this longblack from a shop for 500...good deal
went to drain the oil (while on engine stand) and found water in the pan about 1 quater or so...so i decide to tare into the engine...should i be ok if a SEMI rebuild the engine, take every thing out and re lube it with assembly oil.....or what.??????

im gueesing your gonna have to rebuild the entire thing, water could be any where and if your gonna take it apart and spend money on parts, then risk destroying all that **** within 30 sec. of start up

ya true, u think i can just tare the engine down re-gaskit everything , and re lube everything and then would i be good....

no i think you cannot just regasket it and relube it, you need to check and see where the water came from was it water, antifreeze or what also are the rings rusted any water in the head cracked cylinder walls ect, 500 bucks is not cheap for a bad engine, i would guess the car was submerged in water if it is clean water in the oil, godda do alot to it then

well i didnt find much water in it like 1 quart, i just finshed cleaning and relubed the bottom end and i am putting the head back on tonight....ill let u nah sayers what happens
