Just as the topic stated. I'm in the middle of changing the t-belt and wondered if it was necessary to get a new crankpully bolt.

I searched around and didn't see much in the subject and I don't remember the helms saying anything about it.

I've never done it personally. Now if it looks damaged or anything that's different, but just a T belt change, I would make sure it's torque'd but that's about it.

 

I just looked at my Helms and it doesn't say to replace that bolt.

Unless the threads are damaged there is no reason to. Make sure you torque it correctly, but thats about it.

Nothing like saving money.

 

There is no need unless damaged to replace the bolt.

 

I replace with the timing belt or if it's been put on by someone else with an impact gun at greater than 130 ft-lb.....

 

Just put a little bit of oil on it and you will be fine.
