Kinda new to the old school honda scene...my main summer car is a DC5 but I picked up this 88 CRX Si for cheap to just use as a daily drive and something in the winter but me and my dad sort've started to think we could make the car real nice and just restore it so we are in the process of restoring this thing.

Now to get to the point of this thread....my stock seats are pretty beat up...they're tearing all along the edges...looks nasty. I found some CRX Si seats out of a 90-91 (it had rear disk brakes so it's safe to say 90-91 i think) and picked them up for a descent price.

Now the guy who sold them to me said they'd fit just fine...well they don't. I tried swapping them in...the seat rails are different...tried swapping the seat rails...they don't swap.

I work at honda and i kinda know a few things here and there...I looked at the bottom of the seats i bought and it says SH2 89 (SH2 = CRX on the honda part #'s...as i'm sure you guys already know that.) But i'm guessing 89 = the year? So 89-91 seats are all swapable/interchangeable? Is there anything I can do to get these 89-91 seats to fit my 88?

If not what other seats fit the 88? I'm guessing i'm going to have to find a set of nice 88 seats but that's probably not going to happen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

And those seat covers are nice! But will they fit my 88 CRX Si seats since my seats have a non adjustable headrest?

I might go with those seat covers...any know if the quality is good?
