where is solenoid valve B?
can someone lead to where the solenoid valve B is situated?
is it safe to buy a used solenoid or to go for a new one?
My car TCM code showed 8 blinks which reads faulty shift control solenoid valve B.
Thanks.

I'm not exactly sure about the 90-93 Accords but my Helm manual for 94-95 Accords shows...
"The shifter control solenoid valves A/B and the lock-up control selonoid valve A/B are bolted on the outside of the torque converter housing."
From the picture, it looks like two small round towers. There are two similar looking assemblies like this. One is the shift control solenoid valve assembly and the other is the lock-up control selonoid valve assembly. They are located close to each other. From the looks, the shift control selonoid is located further down on the torque converter housing. So if you standing in front of your car looking into the engine bay, you'll see two of these assemblies located near each other on the torque converter housing near the motor. The one that is closest to the top of the torque converter housing is going to be the lock-up control selonoid valve assembly. The one below that, is going to the shift control selonoid valve assembly.
I hope that makes sence. If I was at home I could scan the picture from the manual and post it so you can see, but I'm at work right now. If you'd like though I can try doing that once I get home from work.
Also, keep in mind that this is for a 94-95 Accord with a 4spd automatic transmission. I would assume it would be pretty similar but I'm not sure.
Hope this helps you.

actually, I found a diagram on SLHonda that shows the location of the shift control selonoid valve assembly. It appears to be the same as the 94-95 as shown in my manual.
Part #5 in the diagrams below is the shift control selonoid valve assembly

That should give you a good idea of where to look. As for which one of those towers is valve A and which is valve B, I don't know.
