Recently I am in a mist of building an engine from the Dart tall deck block. However, I found out that my original super dynamic extractor cannot be fitted onto the block as it is too short . Was wondering you guys out there using the tall deck block....which extractor are you using??

I have a chance of getting the toda extractor....is it long enuff to be fitted on nicely and clear the oil pan??

Pls..anyone...pls enlighten me.....thks...

 

I take it you are talking about header fitment, and all I can say is you will need something custom to fit a tall deck Dart block. The 14mm extra deck height means that all headers made for a B18 will hit the oil pan, so unfortunately that's your only option. Either custom header or a custom oil pan.

I have a custom Hytech header on my tall deck setup and the fitment on that one is very good, just like the regular 1.8liter Hytech on my stock B18C6 block.

It's a 4-2-1 header, most Hytech headers are configured like this.
