Just got a accord 06 ex and after 750 miles its making a funny sound when u have it in the park position and u press on the accelarator and let it go.The sound comes when u let it go from the front..Also when u drive on the freeeway , it seems like it is making a raoring sound as well but not too loud.JUst noticed the sound today.It was fine until 2 days ago.What could be wrong with the car.Its brand new

Ok, I'm so confused. What kind of sound is it? Is it a squeaking sound? a metal sound? a pinging sound? a bang? You said the sound only occurs when you let off the accellerator when in park and on the freeway? Which gear is it when it's on the freeway and this occurs? Your car should still be under warranty, take it back.

 

I'm confused myself, but your vauge description sounds like the signs of a normally functioning vtec system. Variable valve timing may cause noises that seem strange, but in fact are completely normal. Maybe I could tell you more with a better description.

 

I may know what sound your talking about. It sounds like sandpaper rubbing on sheetmetal. That's normal noise.
