Default Anyone using Megan Headers?

I was just checking other RSX websites and I ran across people that liked using Megan parts for their RSX's (mostly coilovers).

I also noticed that Megan makes headers for my car and I was wondering if anyone has heard anything good/bad or just heard of how they perform?

unless its the RH i belive its worthless. The short stock looking header is basically not going to do much for a k series because when honda designed it they did almost everything rite the first time. If you compare a RH with a regular one you can see how the piping is diff. Now if you still would like one i have heard their welds hold up rather well on their products.

yeah, the shorty header will barely give you any noticable gains, there will be gains but only minor ones

the race headers will definitely give gains, but theres the issue of having no catalytic converter which makes it illegal, in some states

the megan shorty header is at a good price, its pretty cheap
with most shorty headers, youll probably get the same amount of gains, so might as well pay the least amount to get the best bang for the buck

As far as shorty's the megan is a good header. Its a a bit wider in piping diameter than the DC. Ive also heard good things about the quality, in terms of welds and what not.

I do not believe Megan actually makes a race header. They make a shorty, and then offer a test pipe, for both base model and type s configurations. I remember reading on clubrsx how the megan shorty header/test pipe combo actually gives you 7lb more tq in the midrange than a dc race header, and just nearly as much top end. Dont quote me on this. Also there is no need for motor mounts as you still have your flex pipe. Come emmision time you can just swap out the test pipe.

I believe the combo for both of em is just like 250 bucks brand new.

Thanks for that info! That's some good stuff to know.

Waht about the Comptech? Is there any benefit on going Comptech over the Megan (disregarding price if one were to find a used Comptech header)

BTW: what do you mean you still have your flex pipe? On the testpipe? I know you need ESMMs for race headers, especially the ceramic ones by DC...</TD></TR></TABLE>

Anything comptech will be good. But with shorties the gains wont differ much.

The flex pipe, is where the test pipe and header meet. Where the donut gasket is. Its held together by spring bolts so it can flex.
