couple valve cover questions

Default couple valve cover questions

firstly..without giving to much away of my project for this season (pics to come, i promise) im looking to remove the krinkly texture of the valve cover....how would i go about painting it to remove this texture?


secondly,
how do i shave the logos (DOHC VTEC and the "H" Honda logo) off of the valve cover?
any help would be great

As for taking off the paint use some Aircraft Stripper, follow the directions and rinse and repeat if you didn't get it all of completely the first time.

and as for shaving the logos i would recommend a dremel with a round bit to shave it off of. theres a write up on how to do it around here, search for it.

i found when i rub one out with air craft stripper it burns. i prefer a 300 grit sand paper section.
