h22 alternator relocation
search is down an di couldn't really find anything else online. I know theres a place that sells a kit to relocate it up higher for a dry sump system, but i'm thinking more along the lines of goign to the back of the motor.
From what i've been able to see on the motor in my car and an extra block i have, the 2 upper holes for the intermediate shaft could be used to support a bracket for the bottom of the alternator. The problem i am running into is try to configure a banana type tensioner mount for the top of the alternator. The closest mounting point for the top would be the driver side motor mount.
so i guess pretty much what i'm looking for here is some one thats done this before, I'll get some pics of the ideas that i've had so far

give me a break here, all i had was windows paint to work with, but i think this gets my idea across fairly well. Its not very well proportioned but whatever. basically the upper mount connects to the the motor mount bolts and goes towards the firewall in a banana shape to act as a tensioner breacket also. The bottom mount connects to the upper 2 intermediate shaft bolt holes. From some measurements and such the only thing i see being a possible problem is the driverside "frame rail" but its could be dented in like a 1/4" if needed and be perfectly fine

for the alternator to fit on the back of the block. The h22 offsets the crank pulley further to the driverside than a bseries.
