1.5 and 1.6 engine compatability
I have a 91 Honda Civic sedan, 1.5L, 5spd. I will be purchasing another civic and keeping my current civic for parts (I also have other parts on hand for this car from a parts car I purchased and switched the engine) and would like to know if the parts from my 1.5 are compatable with the 1.6 engine. i.e. starter, radiator, alternator, etc. Is there a site that lists this information?
What year can I go up to and still have some of the non engine parts be exchangable?
Thanks

Thanks. I need to buy another civic to replace my 91 sedan and want to buy a car that I can use parts from my current 1.5l on.
After 1991 the chassis changed. from EF to EG. EF is 1988 1991. The best bet is to buy a car as similar to the one you own that you can find if you want parts to change over. Some parts are interchangeable between generations of chassis and engines, but your best bet there is to research.
I am new to EF's so I dont' know for sure, but isn't there a difference in the air/fuel delivery system/intake between the 1.5 and 1.6???

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to determine what years I can purchase and if the 1.5 and 1.6 motor parts are transferable. I believe one of the differences between the 1.5 and 1.6 is the dual point vs multi point fuel delivery system.
