Default d16y7

is there a write up of the installation of a d16y7 in to a 88 crx. i have searched and no luck. so dont try that

Well first of all the d16y7 intake manifold sucks for performance..I recommend getting a y8,z6 or even a6 manifold..The motor bolts in using your factory mounts..You have to convert to mpfi..I mean you can stay dpfi and use stock dx intake system but it would suck for performance..Then if you want to stay pre obd get a pm6 ecu and a 88-91 hf/si distributor..And theres a thing with the temp sensor..The stock prongs on your harness wont work with the plug on the d16y7,you need to wire in a 2 pin round plug and put it on the thermostat housing brown plug..Or you can just forget that run a toggle switch for the fan or whatever..

Why not..Its a upgrade from the stock dx motor..and you can find them cheap with low milelage..They bolt in..The pre obd distributors bolt on without rigging them up..The only thing that sucks is that y7 intake manifold .
