Default AEM CAI Installation

I bought the bypass valve for the hell of it........I heard a few times of people haveing trouble with the lower half falling off.......is this just BS or does this really happen? I don't want to use it if there is any chance of that happening.......Thanks guys

If you car is not lowered, there isn't much of a worry. Just make sure to still avoide the 1 foot puddles though as a just in case.

my car is lowered and has an aem cai, and it's doing just fine. I've had to drive my car in pouring rain many times. I live in NC, where it rains alot, so I needed the bypass valve. My friend and I installed it ourselves and it hasn't showed any signs of falling off. IMO you should be just fine, like they said, just don't go runnin' through any big a@# puddles.

My car is lowered and has a CAI also. I live in Florida where it rains soooo much, anyways, ive never had any problems with my CAI, even without the bypass thing. Just be careful not to drive through any DEEP water, like as in a foot deep, but you wouldnt do that to your car anyways, would you
