I have searched and searched on this and I have seen people on here say to spray the hell outta the iacv with carb cleaner but wouldnt that eat up any rubber seals inside? I cleaned mine about a week ago. I put some on a qtip and rubbed it over the screen and the open hold and got as much as i could out. The idle is still kind of screwed up but alittle bit better. I have read posts that people spray carb cleaner and then clean it out with compressed air. What is the proper way that i am not gonna destory anything?

 

i used deep creep made by seafoam on my civic IACV...worked wonders!! and i did this about a year ago and no side affects

 

Exactly how did u use it

 

sprayed the screen with deep creep, sprayed it liberally, and I let it sit for about 2 hours, to make sure it was dry...

I used carb cleaner on mine, and it cured my problem. Just don't spray the seals, well mine got wet, when i drained it. But yeah it worked for me.
