90 Accord Tachometer problem
Hey all:
I've got a 90 Accord that had a battery positive lead that was corroaded pretty bad. As a result, the car had some electrical issues until I fixed the lead and terminal.
One of the weird things was when I tried to start the car, the tach would go from 0 clockwise to past redline, even with the motor not running. Now, it just stays there in this pegged position. Is there a way I can reset the tachometer?
Thanks
Jim

Hey all:
Thanks for all the help.
One more thing...the cruise control suddenly does not work.
The car runs fine now, and all of the electrical works fine, except the tach and the cruise. I checked all of the fuses and none are blown. I also looked at the relays in the fuse blocks and nothing looked burned or otherwise. I think it's an electrical problem, but frankly I've owned the car 15 years and it has 225K miles and I've *never* had a problem. I'venever had to work much on the car other the wear items, much less diagnose a problem.....So, lemme know if anyone gets any more ideas.
Thanks again for all the help.
