Default clutch 88/89/90-91

is there a significant difference in gripping between the 3 clutch years on a crx? i know they get progressively bigger...im wondering whether its worth upgrading from 89 clutch to 90-91 type

ps. you have to change flywheel to use a 90-91 clutch on 89 engine/trans right? d15b2?

I think the 88-89's clutch has a different number of teeth. Hopefully someone else can say for sure, I'm too lazy to check.

Just buy some aftermarket. I got my centerforce 2 clutch and PP for $180, and holy mother of god it makes a difference. By far the best modification done to the car.

Also, I was not able to find Centerforce clutches for anything older than 1990, and since my engine was a 1989 I upgraded to a 1994 flywheel I had sitting around.
