Default My 2.0LSVTEC Dyno, preliminary results

232whp/152TQ. rev limiter is only 8500.

i was impressed cause the second full pull we did it made 204/154 @8000rpms.
SPECS:
RS Machines Sleeved LS block 84.5mm
89mm LS CRANK
CP Pistons
Eagle Rods
ACL Race Bearings
CTR Crank Pulley
DFE Enterprises Ported ITR Head
Rocket Motorsports valvesprings and Retainers
AEBS manifold ported by DFE Enterprises
310CC Injectors
Skunk2 Pro Series 70mm Throttle Body
Skunk2 PRO 3 Camshafts
Rage Header/Hytech Production Tri-Y header
Compression 12.2:1

there is still LOTS of tuning to do, so pay no attention to the a/f plots. vtec has to be worked on, and i havent revved it out yet.

also, i have a custom RMF 4-1 header with a 3in collector, however it is MILD STEEL and was already starting to rust. i had it sent out to get coated, so i dynoed with the Rage/Hytech header. Im sure the RMF will make more, cause it did on my dyno test.

Ill be cleaning up VTEC and revving it out later this week once i get more time.

TUNED BY JOHNZM using CROME

i was thinking of doing a 2.0L build too. After doing some research though and talking to some people i heard that boring the engine out to 2.0L isnt that reliable for DD and isnt worth it, is this true ?

-Sorry dont mean to jack your thread just asking

Wow, those are some big cams! Wonder what the rmf and about 1000 rpm will bring. Props to you and DFE enterprise

yes this was OPEN header, no exhaust attatched. i had a 4ft extension pipe on the end of the header so i could get accurate o2 readings

i really like your tq plot.....

if you ignore the dip due to the vtec (which i'm sure you'll get fixed), that is a nice flat graph for the tq from 5600 all the way to 8500 (~150 ft-lb).

Too bad it's wet outside - I'm sure you want to flog that bitch.....

vteckidd, looks like those cam was still too big on 2.0L form , your got some down valley graph when the vteck kick on 6k. is that lobe centre setup the same as pro 2??
hey, did you dyno it without intake , ?? i see on the pict.

Once you get the A/F ratios dialed in it should help you out. Not bad #s though at all!

i dont see where these cams are "too big ". it makes killer TQ early and holds it well into the RPM range. the WHP is a flat, smooth diagonal line. The dip at vtec is from the low cam and high cam tables not being smoothed together. we have a little more time to spend on that, as i said this is preliminary tuning.

I also KNOW for a FACT that the my motor made 10 less HP with the PRO2s. gotta love an engine dyno
