OBD O B16 swap in '90 DX throwing code 15, no spark. conv. from OBD 1
I know we will figure this out eventually but I figure maybe you guys can speed up the process. My buddy has a an OBD 0 swap in his '90 civic DX and I have never wired this swap before so I am learning the wiring as I go but from what I have found everything seems right. I had OBD 0 on my rex (bought swapped already though) and since I just went OBD 1 I gave my ECU and dizzy to my buddy since his motor was OBD 1 from a '92 XSi. I have found contridicting info on wiring and my buddy jumped into the wiring before we could cross reference the info. The ECU is throwing code 15 and we have swapped the 2 white wires on the dizzy with no luck. other than tracking down all the wiring and starting over with the conversion we are a little flusterd right now
Even though there may be a wiring problem we are only throwing code 15 so maybe everything else is ok, so any ideas???

Okay you had an extra OBD-0 distributor and you gave it to your buddy for his swap right?
if so you should not have done anything but bolt it on and plug it in.
Did I understand your question correctly?

We are having the same problem in my freinds 90 DX. Hope you can figure it out. I'll post if we do. Good luck

Well basically the wiring was off by one ground and b10 and b12 (CAS wires) were not clicked into the ECU harness correctly, once they were it fired right up.
All I can say is CHECK YOUR WIRING, if this is your first swap (like it was for my friend) chances are very high that it is just a careless mistake causeing a no start.
