Default Has anyone used a Greddy EVO 2 exhaust? how does it sound?? lmk

I have a 98 EX that is my daily driver.. and the muffler fell off recently.. i want to do a stainless exhaust on the car.. but the car is otherwise stock and i want something that looks clean and is NOT loud. The greddy evo 2 seems to have a lot of meat on the muffler and a good sized resonator on it.. anyone know how it looks on the car or sounds? lmk. I HATE noisy exhausts. On my other coupe im doing a DC exhaust.. But was looking for something cheaper for my daily- Ive seen a lot of 'clearance' prices on that evo 2.. and plenty of immitation (exact specs) on ebay.
lmk what you guys think!!

Because it is a very common exhaust and could be easily found in the exhaust review thread

Well.. they all sound similar in the clips.. what i was hoping for was for someone to tell me how loud the exhaust was inside the car..
im looking at the evo 2, the sp 2, and the apexi ws2.
On the website you gave me they all sound comparable.. i assume that they pretty much are.. who has experience with any of them and can vouch for which one sounds the most mellow/tame?

a couple of buddys of mine have them, i have the N1 and my N1 is quiter inside on the freeway then theres, my N1 i can hear the it in the rear of the car, but the evoII is full of interior noise, and the greddy evoII is muhc louder with a header hi flow cat test pipe than my n1 was,

but you said for its for your dd, so its up to you

ws2 is really quiet, my friend had it on his gsr and i didnt even notice that he had an exhaust. it pretty much sounds like stock, the evo2 i pretty loud on my friends spec v, so i guess it cudnt be much different on a civic

wow.. thats surprising.. i have an N1 on my project coupe.. and when it was all motor b16 with header and no cat it sounded loud as anything. it drove me crazy..
i took it off.. and will be replacing it with a DC exhaust when i resume the project come spring..
for the daily... im considering the WS2, the SP2, and the EVO2... the evo looked like it would have been among the quietest because of the amount of meat on the muffler.. and the resonator.. but im hearing mixed things about it on here.

Really?? WS2 has no tone at all? it looks the same as the old SP from Greddy.. which was a nice quiet exhaust but did have some nice tone to it when you stomped on it..
i will prob end up getting either the WS2 or the new SP2 from greddy...

ya.. the clip sounds great.. but many are saying that it is noisy from inside the car.. thats really what im trying to steer away from.. i really just want to get something SS so it will last and look clean.. this car is to be my DD while i work on a project car this spring.. so i really want to keep it stock to maintain reliability and good fuel economy

The ws2 is indeed quiet, but it is not full SS. But for around 360 shipped, the price cant be beat

My em1's stock b16... I went with the WS2 because my friend had it on his teggy and to me it sounded real nice. I did research both and based on my findings on HT, I found more praise for the WS than the SP. That and i felt the TrueHonda deal was too good to pass up Hear this clip and tell me the WS2 sound doesnt melt your ears http://s62.yousendit.com/d.asp...GGBD5

Yes.. it does.. but how can it not be stainless for the price and for the quality exhaust and company? thats disappointing...

The muffler is SS just not the piping, the N1 is the same way. I dunno why that is. I guess SS doesnt mean youll always get the best quality, considering there are off name brands that are Full SS catbacks on ebay that go for like 200 shipped.
