Here is an idea on how to make it work. I will probably try this with an EP3 so I can wire up cruise control. Cut the hub (the spline part) off the DC5 wheel and your old DC2 wheel. You should be able to weld the DC2 splines onto the DC5 wheel. I would suggest an argon welder b/c they give better welds, not to mention the welds look pretty.
