****, people here are saying that a GT28RS's exhust is borderline small for a 1.6L Honda...why would they need such a small turbo for a 2.0L or bigger motor?

The turbo really isn't that small, it's just that people here on H-T are infatuated with big turbos.

i never once said it wasnt efficient....but it is small regardless how efficient it is... its a good turbo for smaller motors and smaller power numbers..rated to 340-350hp not small??

Yeah a good turbo for smaller motors, like ours. I'm not saying that big turbos on small displacement motors is a bad thing, hell I run one myself... I just wanted to say that people get blinded by the H-T croud and there obsession with big turbos

thats all that im saying

im not trying to put words in your mouth cubish...and i understand that yes in the honda world the 28rs can be considered on the smaller side compared to a gt40..

i dont understand you're "smaller motors" comment...is 1.8-2.0 considered huge nowadays?

smaller motors in the honda world i guess you can put it...i.e. 1.5-1.6 single cams...1.6 b16's etc....i i'm a true beleiver that you dont need like a gt42R to go fast, but there is a point where you do need a biiger turbo to make certain numbers... great street turbo

1.8t vw's don't need a BIG turbo in the same way hondas do to make power. I guess it's similar to dsms where they just push smaller turbos to the edge.

thats a whole lotta potato and not so much disco!

its not the turbo's guys...its our freaking motors that flow so much gosh darn exaust.

and anything dubbed "the disco patato" is most likely on the small end. lol

Seriously. My freind is a big VW fan. He has shown me that there is a lot of ignorance on that forum. Some of the members there should not even be allowed to drive.
