Default help me with my car please!

okay guys, i have alot of questions.

1. i just replaced the head gasket, now when i step on my gas to rev it up a little my car shakes and almost dies out. is this due to my timing being off or...?

2. i just filled my car up to the 1/2 tank mark, i started my car to let it run for a little bit (about 4-5 mins.) and now the gas mark is almost to the 1/4 mark? why is it eating so much gas?

3. smoke is coming from the headers? what could cause this?

Smoke from headers, probably from gease on your hands and spilling oil -it should burn off.

Timing -if you think it may be off, you probably have a good idea that you didn't do it right. Check it, set it. If you are not sure how, get someone that does to do it correctly.

If timing is off, you could burn more gas, your car could run hot, could be running lean and that would put extra heat into the header/manifold.
